The 3 Steps of Quanta Change

Quanta Change happens through 3 simple steps - Sleep, Shift and Share - that work together over time to release layers of Learned Distress.  Before you begin Quanta Change, you'll want to get your Sensory Quotient:

The SQ gives you an objective picture of your Learned Distress.  It measures the intensity of your Learned Distress and the ways in which you control it.  You will learn which of the 6 SQ patterns your Learned Distress falls into: Idealist, Perfectionist, Caregiver, Optimist, Defeatist, or Dictator.  Your overall pattern and the specific pieces in your SQ will give you a place to start with your unlearning.

Step One: Sleep with the QC Sensory Message CD

Sleeping woman for 3 steps page Sleep is when Quanta Change actually happens.  Your sense of self recharges during sleep with feelings of either well-being or Learned Distress.  Mimi's research uncovered that this recharging time is when you can create permanent change by unlearning Learned Distress.

The Sensory Message CD gives your brain your permission to recharge with your well-being instead of Learned Distress.  Mimi reads a message she designed to "speak the language of your sensory brain."  The message is comprised of sensory images - "spoken pictures of feelings" - and is accompanied by soothing music.  You play this CD the entire time you are sleeping at any volume that is comfortable.

The CD is beneficial for anyone to sleep with, including children.  It is not subliminal - you can listen to it while you are awake to hear the gentle message for change it provides.

Step Two: Shift How You Feel

To tell your brain to recharge with a good feeling at night, you'll notice the moments in which you feel bad (or things feel difficult) and shift to feeling good in that moment.  Your sensory brain is like a machine so as you shift to feeling good, it has no choice but to recharge with that well-being at night and the Learned Distress peels away.

Step Three: Share with a Quanta Change Guide

Guy on phone 2 200 px wide There are several roles that your QC Guide will play in your sharing sessions:

1. To understand your SQ and how it connects with the situations in your life
2. To understand the repeating Quanta Change Cycle and what you are unlearning
3. To help you notice and celebrate the changes that take place
4. To help you learn how to shift most effectively

Quanta Change brings about profound changes without you working for them, so you may not even notice them until your QC Guide points them out!  Here's a good example:

This client told me about several ongoing problems for her - she was dyslexic, she never got to work on time, and the clutter in her house reached from floor to ceiling, wall to wall.  I suggested she shift to the good feeling of having her "life in order."

In the next week's session, she said, "Nothing happened."  When asked about her week she said, "I only got one room of my house cleaned out."  I asked how long it had been since she had done that, she said, "Too many years too remember."  I asked what else happened that week.  "I did make it to work on time every day.  Oh, except for the day I got there an hour early and organized the office before everyone else came in."

She and I both started laughing at this point.  Prior to that point, cleaning a room or making it to work on time took monumental effort.  Since Quanta Change brought about these situations with no effort on her part, she didn't even notice that the change had happened!
